This change will be reflected in April offers onward.
To support Canada’s Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP), Drive AI now adds messaging to Upgrade Offers for vehicles that may qualify for EV rebates, making it easier to highlight potential savings to your customers.
With the program’s reintroduction and additional eligibility restrictions, EVAP rebates are not factored into Drive AI’s payment calculations (whereas the previous Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) program rebates were). Instead, eligible offers will include messaging to indicate potential qualification, prompting customers to connect with your dealership to confirm details.
How the Messaging Works
For vehicles identified as potentially eligible for the EVAP program, the following message will be added to Upgrade Offers:
"Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) Eligibility"
This allows dealers to promote potential EV incentives while ensuring that customers verify eligibility at the dealership.
What Dealers Need to Do
No action is required. Drive AI will automatically include the EVAP messaging in Upgrade Offers for vehicles that may be impacted by the program.
Dealers can continue using Upgrade Offers as usual while discussing potential EV rebates with customers during the sales process.
