Support Guide: Adding Social Media Links to Your Email Footer

With the new Social Media Footer option in the Smart Campaign Email Designer, you can now add links to your dealership’s social media channels directly in your email campaigns. This helps you connect with customers beyond the inbox, grow your followers, and showcase your dealership’s brand.



How It Works


When building your email campaign in the Smart Campaign Editor, you’ll now see a new checkbox option in the footer settings: “Social Media.”


If no social media links are stored in your account:

  • Selecting the checkbox will open a “Link your socials” pop-up window.

  • You can enter URLs for any supported platforms: Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

  • Once saved, the corresponding icons will automatically display in your email footer.

  • If you close the pop-up without saving, the checkbox will unselect and no icons will appear.


If links are already stored in your account:

  • Selecting the checkbox will instantly display the social icons in your footer.



Updating Your Social Media Links


Need to change or update a link? 

  • Hover over the social icons in your footer.

  • Click the edit icon to reopen the “Link your socials” window.

  • Update or remove links as needed.



Tips for Entering Social Media Links

  • The system will validate all URLs to make sure they’re connected before saving. 

  • You can also enter just your username/handle instead of the full link. For example: 

Entering @MyDealership will automatically convert to the full URL (e.g., facebook.com/MyDealership).

  • Increase visibility: Drive traffic from emails to your social channels.

  • Boost engagement: Encourage customers to follow, like, and interact with your dealership online.

  • Strengthen branding: Make your emails feel complete and connected across all customer touchpoints.


That’s it! Once your social media links are saved, every email campaign you send with the Smart Campaign Designer can automatically include them in the footer, helping you stay connected with customers on every channel.
