Introducing Smart Segment Custom Input Filters

With Drive AI’s Smart Segment Custom Input Filters, you can now filter your existing customer base, using VINs, Customer IDs, or Postal Codes, to run highly targeted campaigns, without adding new customers or creating mismatched data.


Important: This feature does not import new customers into Drive AI; it only references customers who already exist in your system.



The Update

Smart Segments now supports inputting your own data, so you can filter using:

  • VINs

  • Customer IDs

  • Postal Codes


How It Works

  1. Copy and paste a comma- or line-separated list of VINs, Customer IDs, or Postal Codes.

  2. Drive AI will:

  • Confirm the number of entries you added.

  • Flag any invalid inputs.

  • Show you how many customers in your database match.


  1. Layer your inputs with other Smart Segment filters for ultra-precise targeting.


🔑 Extra flexibility:

  • Use 6-digit postal codes for pinpoint targeting or 3-digit codes for wider reach.


  • For Customer IDs, simply choose the right DMS system before uploading (Drive AI will auto-select if you only have one).

Before this update, Smart Segments only supported predefined filters, which limited how closely your campaigns could line up with other systems. Now, you can:


Run campaigns from any customer list you export (as long as the customers already exist in your Drive AI database)

Where to Find It

VINs → Smart Segments > View Filters > Customer Vehicles


Postal Codes → Smart Segments > View Filters > Customer Profile


Customer IDs → Smart Segments > View Filters > Customer Profile
