Mileage Calculation Process
To calculate mileage, Drive considers the two most recent mileage readings obtained from service records and/or sales transactions. Here is a step-by-step process to determine the current mileage:
Step 1: Obtain Recent Mileage Readings
- Retrieve the two most recent mileage readings from service records and/or sales transactions.
***Readings must have 60 days or more between them to be used****
Step 2: Calculate Daily Mileage
- Using these readings, calculate the customer's daily mileage:
Step 3: Determine Duration Since Last Reading
- Ascertain the number of days from the current date to the date of the latest service or sales activity.
Step 4: Calculate Additional Mileage
- Multiply this duration by the daily mileage to determine the additional mileage accrued during this period:
Step 5: Calculate Current Mileage
- Add the additional mileage to the latest recorded mileage reading:
Note: If only one mileage reading is available, add 46 KM per day to estimate the current mileage.
Summary Drive calculates current mileage by analyzing the two most recent mileage readings and determining daily usage. If only one reading is available, a standard daily mileage of 46 KM is used. This method ensures an accurate and up-to-date mileage estimate for each customer.
